Joe Gulbranson, Founder and President

Joe grew up in St. Paul, MN and began fixing bikes and cars at just 7 years old. His natural curiosity for building and fixing things led him to join the Sheet Metal Workers Union where he worked for over 15 years. During this time, he contributed to various projects across the Midwest including building steel lockers, electronic gymnasium bleachers, basketball hoops, dock levelers, and commercial doors.

While raising 5 daughters and continually remodeling the family home, Joe expanded his skills to include complete home renovation, tackling everything from refinishing basements and building decks to remodeling bathrooms, designing and installing kitchens, and constructing garages. From 2015 to 2021, he worked for Aveka as a Maintenance Technician, designing and fabricating custom machinery and remodeling corporate offices.

In 2021, Joe established Klondike Handyman & Remodeling Services with his wife, Emily. For many years prior, friends and family sent referrals to him for home improvement and handyman projects, urging him to start his own business. Not only can Joe “fix anything” as those close to him know, but his attention to detail, quality, and the highest customer satisfaction is witnessed in every project, large or small. Emily Gulbranson, Co-founder, SVP of Sales and Operations

Emily met Joe as a young teen growing up in the same neighborhood. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the College of St. Catherine and Master’s Degree in Organizational Management from Concordia University. After 25 years in sales leadership across start-ups and large corporations, she was excited to bring her entrepreneurial and sales experience to the business. She saw firsthand how Joe’s abilities helped their family, and others, create homes designed to fit each unique lifestyle.

In addition to managing Sales and Operations at Klondike Handyman & Remodeling, Emily is the Vice President of Sales and Operations for Seeing Machines, assisting clients in the transportation industry with safety solutions, and is working toward her Financial Advisor certifications.
